About Carter's General Contracting

Carter's General Contracting is a Dallas window replacement company based at 5515 Gaston Ave in East Dallas. Its public listings classify it as a window installation service, a contractor and a construction company — and its own description of itself is the simplest one in the business: a window replacement company. Until now it has had no website at all; homeowners have found it through its Google and directory listings and a phone number, (214) 758-9519.

The work is replacement windows for Dallas homes: taking out old, drafty, fogged or inoperable units and installing modern insulated windows — vinyl windows foremost — measured per opening, sealed properly and finished with trim that suits the house. The neighborhoods around the Gaston Ave base, from Lakewood and Lake Highlands to Oak Cliff, are full of homes whose original windows have reached the point where replacement pays for itself in comfort every single day.

The general contracting side of the company is what makes the window work complete. Older openings hide rot, soft frames and framing that has drifted over decades; Carter's quotes and repairs that work inside the same project instead of covering it or handing it off. One company, one written scope, one phone number — that is the whole model.
